Heavenly Treasures or Earthly Treasures.
On one of the gatherings with Jesus, He spoke to many people about the parable of collecting treasures on this earth. Do you know what a treasure is? A treasure is valuable items, such as diamonds, gold, rubies, pearls, money and/or any other earthly possession.
Jesus was trying to tell the people that heavenly treasures we can take to heaven, but earthly treasures will remain on this earth, where moths will destroy and thieves will steal.
God does not want us to worry about building up treasures on earth, but to concentrate on building up heavenly treasures. God says He will supply all our needs.
Here are some of the works we can do to help others.
• Visiting the sick.
• Helping the homeless.
• Looking after the old.
• Feeding the hungry.
