Kindness, Goodness and Faithfulness

The Fruits of the Spirit. (Part 4.)

We are still discussing the fruits of the spirit. One of the fruits are to accept Jesus Christ in our lives. Today we are going to discuss kindness, goodness, and faithfulness.

The fifth fruit that we are going to discuss is kindness. Having Jesus Christ in our life, teaches you to have a heart of kindness, for all people around you, like meeting people in a shopping area or having tea with a good friend. Jesus teaches us to be friendly and good to all people around us. Giving a smile to a stranger just by passing by, they in return will smile back and you will quickly notice it becomes easier and easier to give a smile to someone whom might just need a smile for that day.

Gentleness and goodness are so closely related that sometimes it is not easy to distinguish between them. A kind person is also a good person; a good person is by nature a kind person. Both of these are fruits of love. To be a gentle person is to put others first and to have a caring heart for the next person. To take care of someone else and not always thinking of oneself. God always wants us to be good in giving our time for others in need.

Faithfulness, we should always be faithful to God and to the people around us. To be unfaithful to our loved ones means that we do not have any love for them. But to be faithful means that we love one another and that we are loyal to one another. To be loyal to God means that we want to do all things that please Him and to be faithful to Him.

Luke 12:42

- And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom [his] lord shall make ruler over his household, to give [them their] portion of meat in due season?

The Moral of Kindness Goodness and Faithfulness Lesson.

We usually think of kindness as an expression of love from one person to another, and of goodness as a quality of being pure.  Without the Holy Spirit within us, our nature is inclined toward that which is evil and bad. But the Holy Spirit produces in us kindness and goodness, helping us to minister to the world with the love of Jesus. Jesus Christ is the truth, the way and the life — which means that more love, kindness, goodness and gentleness is needed to change the world.

About Our Lessons

Dear Sunday school partners, all around the world. Please refer to your Bible and compare to see if you agree with our children Sunday school lessons.

The stories are not word for word out of the Bible, they are created from my own thoughts. I am only human, so please check the stories out first before using them.

These stories are based on easy words for children to understand, and my own thoughts. You are welcome to use your Bible to add or take away. At the bottom, there is space for you to give input and comments on the subjects. You are all welcome. We are there to make a difference in a child’s life so please come and let us work together for God’s kingdom.
