Jesus said, "little children come to me".

Everyone heard that Jesus was coming to visit and all were very excited. People came from the east, west, north and south to listen to this man called Jesus. Mommies and Daddies were very excited and wanted Jesus to bless their children.

Then some children were brought to Jesus so that He might lay hands on them and pray a blessing on their lives and the disciples rebuked them. Jesus had a great passion for little children. His heart went out to them. Jesus said, one day to the crowd  "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in My name welcomes me;"

The disciples thought that this was a waste of time for Jesus, to take notice of little children.. (As a child, my Mommy and Daddy would say, "go and play and don't count teeth". Children were seen and not heard in adult company.

The disciples also thought it was below them and Jesus to take notice of the little children. Jesus saw what the disciples were doing, the disciples were telling the children to go and play. But Jesus said to the disciples that they should leave the children alone and allow them to come to Him; because the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.

After laying His hands on these little children, Jesus departed from there, and the disciples had learned a good lesson that day. Today, all across the world, children still gather together to hear God's message.

God is our heavenly Father, and although we may not always know ahead of time where He is taking us, we should trust that He will take care of us. As adults, we want the best for our children and we are God's children and He wants the best for us. So let us come to God so that He can bless us in all we do.

As we read this story, we learn how Jesus loves His children, so as we give our hearts to Jesus, we also as adults become His children. For Jesus loves us all.

Craft ~ For little children.

craft for jesus, jesus calls the little children

Method of Craft.

Create flowers by cutting them out and coloring in edges.Take puncher,  punch out some dots in yellow and red. Use pritt (glue) to place dots in middle of flower. Color in edges of flower with coloring markers. Now bend flower by applying pencil in the middle of the flower, just shape flower around pencil bottom. A sasartie stick can also be used to make an indent on the flower to bend a certain way. Flowers will now be attached to frame when framing is finished.  If frame is too small, just place photo on cardboard then measure off a frame around the photo that will be your base. Your colored cardboard must be the same measurement as the piece of cardboard that is exposed behind the photo all around the sides of photo. When this is done, flowers can be added by applying glue to flower as desired. Place two sided tape behind the picture frame for the child to hang on bedroom wall.

About Our Lessons

Dear Sunday school partners, all around the world. Please refer to your Bible and compare to see if you agree with our children Sunday school lessons.

The stories are not word for word out of the Bible, they are created from my own thoughts. I am only human, so please check the stories out first before using them.

These stories are based on easy words for children to understand, and my own thoughts. You are welcome to use your Bible to add or take away. At the bottom, there is space for you to give input and comments on the subjects. You are all welcome. We are there to make a difference in a child’s life so please come and let us work together for God’s kingdom.
