The Bible is God’s letter to mankind, which is divided into 66 books written by 40 wise writers led by the Holy Spirit. They were from all around the world. It was written over a period of 1,500 years or more
All scripture is created by God… Peter reminds the reader to know this first of all that no prophecy of scripture is from one’s own thoughts, but men were moved by the Holy Spirit.
The Bible itself tells us that it is God who is the author of His book. These 66 books talk about history, prophecy and poetry.
The Bible teaches us about God, who He is and what He has done for us. The Bible teaches man about His character, history, and spiritual needs. The Bible also tells us about God’s plan of salvation, which provides forgiveness. The Bible teaches us God’s standards of right and wrong. God’s Word gives us faith and hope for the future.
Some of the writers of the past were great leaders, such as Joshua, and those who were chosen of God to be prophets, such as Samuel, Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel.
Moses wrote five books, they are the laws of Moses. Some of the authors were King David, who began as a shepherd, but became king of Israel. He wrote many of the Psalms, Some of the writers were farmers; some were soldiers of war, some were fishermen.
The Bible is supernatural and is also the truth, dealing with salvation, forgiveness, righteousness, and hope for eternity. In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word (is Jesus) was with God, The Word of God became a human being – flesh and blood – and He lived among us as one of us!
Jesus Christ was the living breathing Word of God. Through Jesus all things were made; without Him nothing was made. Meaning that Jesus was already present at creation. Jesus said “I And the Father are one”.
2 Peter 1:21 When we look at Jesus, we see the completed work of God’s truth. Every Word of God is pure and holy. Your word, LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. We can trust Jesus and the Word of God, which is the same, today and forever.
The Word of the message should not be kept to yourself. You should share the Word to people you meet around your side of the world, so that they too can experience the Word for themselves.
Jesus was already present at creation.
"I and the Father are one.”
2 Timothy 3:16 .
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
2 Peter 1:21
For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
And Jesus answered him, saying," It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God."
To fully understand the bible, you need the input of the Holy Spirit. Only He can clarify the Word for you. Study it day for day and you will find a love for the Word of God. Soon you will find a change for the better in your life with Jesus Christ.

With each Sunday school lesson, I try to give the kids special verses, activities and pictures to color in. Below you will find the download links for the special verse of the day and more. Please feel free to use them as you like for personal use in your own Sunday school classes. You can hand them out to the children to take home as bible verses for the day, even better if each child has a separate book, they can paste it into their own book.
