Jesus told His disciples a story to teach them the importance of staying connected to God. Jesus used an example to teach His disciples and the followers of a vine. God says that He acts like a farmer and helps plants grow. God helps us live our lives in the light so that we can grow as Christians.
In Jesus’s time many people grew grapes. A grape plant has many parts. The Bible calls Jesus the True Vine. On the vine are many branches. Good branches produce grapes. These grapes are called the fruit of the vine. God is the Farmer in the garden of life. Jesus is the Vine who grows good branches. We as Christians are those branches. If you have asked Jesus to be your Savior, you are like a branch on a vine in God’s garden.
If a branch is cut off the vine, it dies and cannot grow anymore. If this person hasn’t invited Jesus into his life, he is not a true Christian. He is fooling himself and the people around him, but he can’t fool God. That’s what happens to anyone who isn’t a true follower of Jesus. If we are not connected with God, we are lost. They may look like a Christian, and even act like one (by going to church and doing good things). We grow spiritually when we get food from the Bible (read the Bible and study what it says) and stay connected to Jesus.
God wants us to live our lives accordingly to His word, the bible. We cannot live our lives without Jesus, so let us bear fruit in our lives. Jesus said, "I am the vine and you are the branches. If you remain in me, you will have much fruit, but apart from me, you can do nothing." Jesus wants us to produce a lot of fruit. Good fruit like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Most of all, he wants us to love one another as He has loved us. Jesus left the Holy Spirit behind to guide and teach us God's word.

With each Sunday school lesson, I try to give the kids special verses, activities and pictures to color in. Below you will find the download links for the special verse of the day and more. Please feel free to use them as you like for personal use in your own Sunday school classes. The wording and any images on this website are not to be sold or reproduced in any publications online or offline. I drew these pictures so that you could add your own verses to them for the day. Color the edgings with marker pens and a little bit of glitter. You can hand them out to the children to take home as bible verses for the day, even better if each child has a separate book, they can paste it into their own book. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
God is the way and the truth. We will bear much fruit through following him. Let us put our trust in Jesus and be faithful in our walk with God. Jesus said, ” This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”

Dear Sunday school partners, all around the world. Please refer to your Bible and compare to see if you agree with our children Sunday school lessons.
The stories are not word for word out of the Bible, they are created from my own thoughts. I am only human, so please check the stories out first before using them.
These stories are based on easy words for children to understand, and my own thoughts. You are welcome to use your Bible to add or take away. At the bottom, there is space for you to give input and comments on the subjects. You are all welcome. We are there to make a difference in a child’s life so please come and let us work together for God’s kingdom.
