I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. (This was a vision, not a real horse for we know that horses cannot fly or run on clouds. A vision of a horse was used because horses were used for transport and for war during those times.)
With justice he judges and wages war. (This vision was seen as God coming back to make war against the enemy on earth and to take back what is rightfully His.) His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but He himself. (God is going to destroy the enemy, all the wicked and evil will know that He is the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings.)
He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword (the Word of truth.) With which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron sceptre” (the rod of correction) the people gathered together at a place called Armageddon to wage war.
God has before destroyed the earth with floodwater's. In Genesis 7:6 -10, we can see this. This flood destroyed the wicked. And Noah and his family entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood. And after the seven days the floodwater's came on the earth. Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; Only Noah was left, and those with him in the Ark.
In Genesis 19:24-25, we see God’s anger again. Then the LORD rained on Sodom and Gomorrah, brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven, and He overthrew those cities, and all the inhabitants of the cities. Again all evil was destroyed by God.
In Judges 2:14. It says,it made the LORD burn with anger against his people in Israel, so he handed them over to raiders who stole their possessions. He turned them over to their enemies all around, and they were no longer able to resist them. (Here we see that even with God’s people, he could not stand their disobedience in Him. So what stops our Lord and Saviour from returning and taking back what is rightfully His.) Let us keep our eyes on our Lord for the coming of our Lord Jesus is sooner than we think.

But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.
