He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me: Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
What is the righteousness of God mean? It teaches us what is right and what is wrong.
God is always correct at all times. He is true and wonderful. When He looks at sin, He does not see big sin or little sin, to Him all sins are the same because He is righteous.
He sees between right and wrong. ”For the Lord is righteous He is the Lord who brings us into the right relationship with Him so that we can claim the name of the Lord as our righteousness.
He is not only the Way, but also the Truth and the Life. His words stand fast and only by believing in Him can one live for ever.
He is our example and we should follow Him in His righteousness. We can all strive to be truthful before man and God. Just like God is, holy, pure, righteous, He is pure in His thinking, actions, and motives.
There is no sin of any kind in God. A sinner is unclean and unholy. God always does what is right. By the birth of his Son, God wants to bring eternal life to you and me. He wants to renew your life by bringing righteousness into your life through Jesus Christ.
God’s hand is on you personally, He chose you to be his special child. God is just and fair. There are laws in heaven that God has given us. The laws are there to help and protect us. There are laws that the government set up, which we have to obey. We must also obey the laws of heaven, in order to be good citizens of the kingdom of God. God warns us about what will happen if we break His laws.
Sometimes there are Christians who believe because God is loving, kind and merciful, they can get by with any kind of sin without being punished. They believe that they can just ask God for forgiveness and everything will be forgiven. It does not work that way, when you have sinned and asked God to forgive you for that sin, do not go back and do that sin again.
Judgement day is coming, this will be the day that the Lord will be judging the living and the dead. This will take place when the final battle will take place between good and evil. Those who have not accepted the Lord as their personal saviour will not be joining us in heaven, their destination is hell where they will burn for eternity.
For those of us who have asked Jesus Christ to be our Lord and savior will never be judged for our sins again in this way. Jesus payed the price, dying on the cross. We will all meet Him in heaven one day.
Christians will be judged for how obedient we were to Him on this earth. We as christians will be held responsible if we do not follow the truth (the Word) our goal as christians is to spread the word as far as we can go, so that when we stand before God on judgement day and we hear Him say, “Well done my good and faithful servant! Enter into the joy of the Lord”

With each Sunday school lesson, I try to give the kids special verses, activities and pictures to color in. Below you will find the download links for the special verse of the day and more. Please feel free to use them as you like for personal use in your own Sunday school classes. The wording and any images on this website are not to be sold or reproduced in any publications online or offline. I drew these pictures so that you could add your own verses to them for the day. Color the edgings with marker pens and a little bit of glitter. You can hand them out to the children to take home as bible verses for the day, even better if each child has a separate book, they can paste it into their own book. Righteous are You, O LORD, And upright are Your judgments.
"The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.
As is Your name, O God, So is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness.
Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is truth.
The LORD is righteous in all His ways And kind in all His deeds.
You only have to reach out your hands to Him. God is always there to take your hand and rescue you from your past. All you have to remember is not to lose sight of Him.
My eyes fixed on you, O Sovereign Lord ; in you I take refuge – do not give me over to death .Psalm 141:8 Righteousness is the state of moral (having to do with what is right and what is wrong in how a person acts.) perfection required by God to enter heaven.
However, the Bible clearly states that human beings cannot achieve righteousness through their own efforts: "Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin." (Romans 3:20, NIV.
The law, or the Ten Commandments, shows us how far we fall short of God's standards. If you say yes to God, our Lord will put His words (wisdom) in your mouth and help you to do the work that He has chosen for you.
