On the first day of the Passover of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and asked him, “Where do you want us to get the Passover meal ready for you?” “Go to a man carrying a water-jar. He will take you to a house with an upstairs room Prepare everything there for us.
The disciples did as Jesus had told them. When it was evening, Jesus and the twelve disciples sat down to eat. They had a lot on their minds. The disciples were worried because some people wanted to kill Jesus because he was getting so popular. Jesus could see the disciples were worried. During the meal Jesus said, “One of you will betray me. ” The disciples were very upset and were looking at each other, and began to ask him, one after the other, “Surely, Lord, you don't mean me? “Judas, the traitor, spoke up. “Surely, Teacher, you don't mean me?” he asked. Jesus answered, “So you say.”
“The one who dips his bread in the dish with me will betray me now”, Jesus said. Peter whispered to John, “Ask Jesus who it is?” And John did. Jesus replied, the one who I give this bread to, and he gave each one of them a piece of bread dipped in herbs. So, still they did not know, but later, John remembered that Jesus gave the first piece to Judas and had said, ”Go and do what you have to do.” None of the other disciples knew what had taken place, they thought that Jesus told Judas to take some money and go and buy some food.
Jesus took a piece of bread, gave a prayer of thanks, broke it, and gave it to His disciples. “Take and eat it,” he said; “this is my body.” Then he took a cup, gave thanks to God, and gave it to them. “Drink it, all of you,” he said; “this is my blood, which seals God's covenant, my blood poured out for all, for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will never again drink this wine until the day I drink the new wine with you in my Father's Kingdom.”
With each Sunday school lesson, I try to give the kids special verses, activities and pictures to color in. Below you will find the download links for the special verse of the day and more. Please feel free to use them as you like for personal use in your own Sunday school classes. Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, “Surely you don’t mean me, Rabbi?”
On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”
He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, “The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.”
So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

As I think about this story, it brings a thought into my mind. Through life we will meet people, some will be faithful and others will betray you.
Imagine how Jesus felt during those few days. Judas was chosen for this purpose in Jesus's life. But Jesus still loved him and prayed and hoped that Judas would make the right choice.
We all have a choice in life to choose wrong from right. Let us be kind and loving to our family and friends and not turn our backs on them and betray them. We must remember what Jesus was about to do on our behalf of all mankind. Jesus was about to shed His blood on the cross thereby paying the debt (price) of our sins. It’s a time when believers must think upon Christ Jesus’s perfect sacrifice and knowing that our faith in receiving Him, we will be with Him forever.
