Samson was a very strong man. As a young man, he tore a young lion apart with his bare hands.
He found a moist jawbone of a donkey and killed one thousand men with it.
Samson found a swarm of bees and honey that were in the body of a dead lion and gave to his mommy and daddy, without telling them where it came from.
Samson fell in love with a woman called Delilah and the Philistines heard about it. They begged her to find out the secret of Samson’s strength and offered her money in return.
Day after day, she asked him to tell her his secret, until he could not stand it any longer. Samson told her where his strength came from. He’s strength was in the length of his hair.
That night Delilah waited for him to fall asleep. She called the Philistines and they cut his hair, then she shouted to Samson “the Philistines are here!”
He woke up and tried to put up a fight, the Lord had left him and he could not fight them, because his strength had left him. The Philistines took out his eyes and threw him in prison. The Philistines had blinded Samson.
Weeks and months had passed by, when Samson heard that there was going to be a great celebration. The Philistines decided they were going to use Samson as their entertainment, so that they could tease and mock him.
When the day arrived, he asked a young boy to direct him to the two great pillars in the center supporting the roof. Once there, he put his arms on the two pillars and cried out to God “remember me, I pray, and give me strength this one last time, oh God, so that I can take revenge on the Philistines for my eyes.” He started pushing at the pillars and suddenly there was a crushing noise, the whole building collapsed down upon them. Altogether there were three thousand philistines that died that day.

The Moral of the Story.
There are many incredible lessons to be learnt from the story of Samson and Delilah.
Lesson 1. The more you allow yourself to be influenced and allured by sin, the blinder you will become. Samson was spiritually blind before he lost his eyes. Sin has a binding, blinding, numbing effect on our lives.
Lesson 2. God can use the wicked and the righteous to accomplish his will.
Lesson 3. God is a forgiving God and can use you just the way you are.
