Jesus Turned the Water into Wine

Jesus went about Galilee preaching the message, saying these words, “The Kingdom of God is near. Change your ways and believe the good news!”

One day, as He traveled through the country side, Jesus was invited to a wedding in Cana.

During the wedding feast, the wine ran out and Mary, feeling sorry for the bride and bridegroom went to Jesus to ask if He would help.

It would have been very embarrassing for the couple if people had nothing to drink on such a special day. Jesus said to his mother, “It is not yet my time….” But Mary had already turned away to the servants and said, “Do exactly what he tells you to do.” Mary had enough confidence that her son could do all things.

Nearby stood six large water-jars. Guests had used the water from them to wash before the meal, according to Jewish law. Now, the water jars stood empty.

“Fill these jars with water", said Jesus, to the servants. “Then, pour out a little of the water and take it to the man in charge of the meal.” The servants did as they were told and took the water to the man.

The water had changed to wine! The man in charge called to the bridegroom. ”Everyone else serves the best wine first and keeps the ordinary wine until last, but you have saved the best until now!”

The crowds of people at the wedding said it was the best wine that they have ever had, this was the first of the miracles that Jesus performed and only the servants who had drawn the water knew Jesus’s secret.

The Moral of the story of Jesus's First Miracle

Remember, Jesus can do all things and He cares for each one of us and He wants us to know that He will always be there. He wants to help us every day in all we do, in big things and small things.

When we are busy with a big test, you can use this verse. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13.

Remember, For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37

He will heal you when you are sick. He will comfort you when you are scared.. Let's all trust in Him completely.

These stories are based on easy words for children to understand, and my own thoughts. You are welcome to use your bible to add or take away. At the bottom there is space for you to give input and comments on the subjects. You are all welcome. We are there to make a difference in a child’s life so please come and let us work together for God’s kingdom.
